Yesterday’s golf tournament at Lomas Santa Fe had an occurrence that has never before happened to anyone’s knowledge. The women had two separate opportunities to be closest to the pin on hole #8 and #13. Nancy Wilson was closest on both holes!!! There were 37 women playing with the odds of any one women being closest being one on 37. The odds of the same women getting closest on both holes would be 37 square or 1,369 to one. We have nine Touring Amateur tournaments a year. 1369 divided by 9 tournaments equals 152 years which is when according to the odds and probable chance is when this should occur again. (2162!!!)
