Dorothy Camper
Dorothy
Camper, attractive, good golfer, favorably disposed to serve on our OHGC board.
That was my first impression after I played golf with her in 1998.
She has proven to be a most capable secretary, inventively improving that position for three years 2003-2005. She was a dynamite Ladies OHGC tournment chairperson during 1999&2000.
She started the July shotgun tournaments and luncheon. Was membership chairperson, helped write and typed all the Positions Descriptions for all board members. Worked for three years on decorations committee for Rorick Buick Tournament.
Dorothy was an active member of the Board of Directors Fund Raiser club for the first restroom built on our course.
This vivacious bundle of energy was born and raised in Utah, moved to San Diego in 1977 and moved to Ocean Hills in 1998. A widow for 24 years, she raised two children that have rewarded her with 5 lovely grandchildren to keep her even busier than she has a tendency to be by volunteering and having fun with her life.
Dorothy's business background was in top sales with Avon Porducts, accounting for a sheet metal company. Cashier's Office at Robinson-May. A receptionist in a Law office. For 9 years prior to moving to Ocean Hills she was Office Manager, then Assistant to the President and CEO of a Bio-Medical Co. in Sorrento Valley.
Thanks, Dorothy, we wish you many years of good golfing and helping to run our golf club so smoothly. We really do appreciate you.
